Afton E. Twining

Afton E. Twining, 93, formerly of Perry St., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24 at Independence House, Fostoria.
She was born on February 16, 1917 in Weston, W. Va. to Charles and Myrtle (Gifford) Ashburn. She married John Twining on September 24, 1941 in Bowling Green and he died September 7, 1996.
Afton is survived by her foster daughter Eilene Rowe of Hot Springs, Ariz.; sister, M. Eleanor Zeitler of Ida, Mich.; foster grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; brothers, Montford "Pete" and Charles P. Ashburn; sisters, Bess E. Luzader, Clara V. Wentz, Maude E. Rymer, Merle A. Shook and Pauline Ashburn.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Fostoria.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Reverend Robert Chew officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.

Anna M. Wohlgamuth, 91, of Carey, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 6:54 a.m. at her residence.
She was born to Gus and Anna Doris Wunderlin.
She is survived by five daughters, Brenda Wohlgamuth, Rose Mary Wohlgamuth, Vickie Jean Shearer, Marie Plott and Ann Fairchild; and two sisters, Garnita Schnitzler and June Sager.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 3 at the STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Carey.
Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Littlejohn officiating. Interment will follow in the Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 West Findlay St., Carey.
