A 50/50 raffle is among the new offerings at Thursday’s Fostoria Kiwanis Club’s Pancake Day fundraiser at St. Wendelin Church.
The 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. event is the club’s largest annual fundraiser and features an all-you-can-eat pancake meal featuring sausages and beverages. Meal cost is $6 for adults, $5 for Golden Buckeye members, $3 for children ages 5-11 and free for children under 5. The event will be hosted in the church’s Parish Life Center.
For the first time, the club will conduct a 50/50 raffle throughout the day to help raise money for the club, which performs a variety of services throughout the community, particularly those aimed at helping children.
As it did last year, the club will also be selling raffle tickets featuring a variety of prizes donated from area businesses. Raffle ticket prices are $5 for six tickets, $10 for 12 tickets and $20 for 25 tickets.
Among the prizes up for grabs this year are: a large golf package featuring four rounds of golf at Fostoria Country Club, Lakeland Golf Course, Loudon Meadows Golf Club and Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green; Cleveland Indians tickets; Toledo Mud Hens tickets; a pool party for up to 20 people at the Geary Family YMCA; a $50 certificate to Au Soleil Day Spa; a $25 gift certificate to Great Scot; pizzas from Fostoria Pizza Palace; $20 gift certificate to Flippin Jimmy’s; and various other items from area businesses.
Tickets for the meal, 50/50 and raffle prizes can be purchased in advance at the Review Times office.
All proceeds from the event go toward the continued operation of the club.
