Snow wipes out area slate

The arrival of the weekend's snowstorm meant the exit of events from Saturday's area high school sports schedule.

Postponements in boys basketball were Fostoria High School at Galion, St. Wendelin at Lake, Arcadia at Hopewell-Loudon, New Riegel at Colonel Crawford and Van Buren at Tiffin Calvert.

In girls basketball, St. Wendelin at Elmwood and Ada at Arcadia were scuttled.

The Carey Classic wrestling tournament was canceled.

The only make-up dates so far are Feb. 13 for Van Buren at Calvert and Feb. 22 for FHS at Galion.
