Blue Jackets win preview segment

OLD FORT -- New Riegel ran away from Lakota 36-12 in a two-period segment of Saturday night's Midland Athletic League boys basketball preview.

Hopewell-Loudon tied Fremont St. Joseph 8-8 in one period and lost 19-6 to Seneca East in another.

Seneca East also fell 11-8 to St. Joe.

In other two-period sets, Tiffin Calvert edged Bettsville 35-32, Mohawk nudged Carey 28-25 and Old Fort and North Baltimore played to a 26-26 tie.

New Riegel's Aaron Schalk won the 3-point shooting contest.
