Fostoria Police Department is closing in on a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man twice in a bar brawl.
The victim was transported from Fostoria Community Hospital to the Toledo Hospital for further treatment for a ruptured liver.
While it is unknown as to the status of the victim, it is known that he suffered two stab wounds in his right side and was immediately transported from the scene to FCH.
Officers responded to a call at 1:28 a.m. Saturday that advised a fight had broken out at The Rail, 440 S. Main St.
While the officers attempted to gain control over the large fight outside, another erupted inside, from which the stabbing victim emerged.
The scene was described as "chaotic" by Police Chief John McGuire, who launched an investigation of the stabbing over the weekend and said that "numerous suspects" have been interviewed already.
"We're fairly confident that we will have the suspect in custody within the next few days," he said.
