Lightning opens with victory in 12-and-under fastpitch play
Erica Moore belted a home run and Hannah Nye collected three singles Tuesday as the Fostoria Lady Lightning opened its 12-and-under Hancock County Girls Fastpitch season with a 19-3 thumping of Findlay.

Moore also singled, while Aspen Ray added a pair of singles in support of winning pitcher Allie Rutter.



14-and-Under Softball

Winning pitcher Colleen Fondessy hit a pair of singles Tuesday as Fostoria M&M Construction bounced McComb 16-2 in Hancock County Girls Fastpitch play.

Johnna Hoover and Christina Cleveland also had two singles for M&M Construction and Natasha Cartagena added a double.



12-and-Under Softball

Sadie Hickle singled twice and drove in three runs for Fostoria Sporting News Radio 1430 Tuesday in a 19-5 Hancock County Girls Fastpitch win over Liberty-Benton.

Madison Gilliland hit two singles and drove in a pair of runs for Sporting News Radio, while Kaitlyn Gonyer belted a pair of doubles and knocked in a run and Shelby Lamb, Victoria Volpe and Sarah Cockie had a single apiece.

Winning pitcher Meghan Reiter allowed three earned runs on two hits while striking out 11.



10-and-Under Softball

Three players recorded a pair of hits Tuesday as Fostoria Team Geroski played to a 7-7 tie with Findlay in Hancock County Girls Fastpitch play.

Netty Guzman, Cailin Reineck and Mackenzie Lowe each had a double and a single for Team Geroski before the two-hour time limit was reached.



Fostoria Junior Baseball

Eli Hickle was the winning pitcher Tuesday as the Fostoria Focus downed Custom Corner 13-6 in a Fostoria Junior Baseball Minor League Game.

Losing pitcher Donovan Vogel hit an inside-the-park home run.
