3 injured in U.S. 23 crash
A Fostoria man was among three injured and a dog was killed Monday evening in a two-vehicle accident on South U.S. 23.

According to reports, Andrew Roberts, 24, Fostoria, lost control of his northbound vehicle in the 8000 block of U.S. 23, crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle being driven southbound by Ronald Nelson, 67, of South Carolina.

Both drivers and a passenger in Nelson's vehicle, Audrey Nelson, 59, of South Carolina, were transported to Fostoria Community Hospital. A small dog in Nelson's vehicle was killed.

Everyone was wearing seat belts, but suffered incapacitating injuries.

Roberts was cited with violating lanes of travel upon roadways. The accident was reported at 5:20 p.m.

According to reports from the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, NBS firefighters, New Riegel EMS and Bascom EMS responded to the accident.
