National Train Day

Toledo’s Amtrak Station will host the first National Train Day celebration May 10, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza, located at 415 Emerald Ave., Toledo. It will include model railroad displays, drawings, music from Cakewalkin’ Jass Band from 2 to 4 p.m. and Lori LeFevre Johnson Trio from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and displays from area rail groups, including the Fostoria Rail Preservation Society.

‘THE KING AND I’
May 9-11

Bettsville High School will present it spring musical, "The King and I" May 9-11. Shows are 8 p.m. May 9 and 10 and 3 p.m. May 11. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults.

FOSTORIA HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR CONCERT
May 13

Fostoria High School choirs will perform their spring concert at 8 p.m. May 13. The event will be at the Performing Arts Center of FHS. Selections will include Mendelssohn’s "Die Nachtigall," "Disney’s Movie Magic" and an a cappella arrangement of "My Girl." The concert is free, but donations will be accepted at the door.

WORK BY MARGIE CARLILE
Through June 6

Art work by Margie Carlile is now on display at Wesley Memorial Gallery through June 6. There are 24 oil and watercolor paintings by the Toledo-based artist. Carlile began her art education at Western New Mexico University and was the Toledo Area Artist of the Toledo Museum of Art in 2005. The gallery is located at 1200 Van Buren St., Fostoria in the narthex of Wesley United Methodist Church. It is open to the public 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is handicapped accessible. NORTHWEST OHIO MINIATURE SHOW

The 4th annual Northwest Ohio Miniature Fair and Show is planned May 9, 4-9 p.m. and May 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel, 3536 Secor Rd., Toledo. FOSTORIA GLASS
HERITAGE GALLERY

The Fostoria Glass Heritage Gallery preserves the heritage of the 13 different glass plants that produced glass during the period from 1886-1921. TIFFIN GLASS MUSEUM

The Tiffin Glass Museum features more than 500 pieces of Tiffin Glass on display, arranged chronologically. The exhibit presents examples of the glassware produced at the Tiffin factory from 1889 until 1980. Hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday with other hours by appointment. SANDUSKY COUNTY
HISTORICAL MUSEUM

The Sandusky County Historical Society Museum is open April through December, Wednesday-Friday and Sunday, 1-5 p.m. The museum is located at 209 S. THE ZULA PATROL: MISSION WEATHER

Check out the latest invasion of space aliens when PBS’s Zula Patrol marches into COSI Columbus. The characters will teach audiences at the science center about the science behind weather with experiments that test how weather works, how we affect weather and how it affects us.
